It's funny, but the final pic is much clearer, maybe blew it up a little and cut off the grade lol.

Last I heard reference to that term was in the incompetence hearing in Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (1936). ;)

If that's the case (and, I think I agree, this is a unique coin), why didn't the toning just raise the grade? Or, maybe NGC just isn't into that, "market grading," the way PCGS is; maybe he should "crack out" and submit to PCGS so as to not chance holding something like this down?

That's just the way I am, Ken, and there's nothing anybody can do about it. :)

I would say most of the graders are drinking more heavy at there jobs, They grade so many a day hundreds of coins. I would think they are drinking a drink called rabbit punch it makes ther ears get bigger an then there eyes become smaller and they grow whiskers here's the proof.

All kidding aside, Joe, I have to say, those colors are stunning (I'm in 100% agreement with Lehigh, there), and that reverse is so lustrous, it almost looks DM to me. Now, not saying I'm any authority on DMPLs, but this one looks better to me than the one on Heritage right now. Check it out, I have a Bears game I have to get back to...

I guess it was unanimous that this coin is not AT, so light of that, IMHO I would crack out and send to PCGS. It's a least a 65 based on market grading and NGC right now is grading redonkulous!!!! Good posts on Collectors Society forum Chat Boards about this under "Numismatic Tangents". I think CAC has screwed this up being overly conservative and causing fear with the TPG's. I'll buy a CAC coin but won't pay one bit extra for it. It started with good intentions, but they have hurt more than helped. I have had several coins undergraded particularly with NGC. Crack it out is my opinion! I like the rabbit punch. That's a good one.
