I am pretty sure almost everyrone has a Constantine II camp gate. If you do post it up. Here is one I just won from Antioch.
Nice one! CONSTANTINE II AE3. 3.09g, 20.8mm. Arles mint, 325-326. RIC VII Arles 294. O: CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left. R: VIRTVS CAESS, campgate with 12 rows, open doors, 4 turrets and star above; TA(crescent)RL in exergue. Ex Stevex6 Collection
here's a mule...Constantine II obverse paired with Constantine I reverse Constantine II A.D. 325- 326 18x19mm 3.8gm CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C; Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left. PROVIDEN-TIAE AVGG; camp gate with two turrets and star between them. in ex. SMKE dot cf. RIC VII Cyzicus 37
I've shown this before, but I'll play. The issues from Trier are special insofar as only this min showed the emperor wearing a fur-lined coat. On my coin, the fur lining is quite clear – look at Constantine's left shoulder: Constantine II Iunior, Roman Empire, AE3, 326AD, Trier. Obv: CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C, bust of Constantine II, laureate, draped, cuirassed, l. Rev: PROVIDENTIAE CAESS, camp gate with two turrets, star above; in exergue, STR crescent. 19mm, 3.01g. Ref: RIC VII Treveri 479.
Mine from Trier. Constantine II AE Follis 326 A.D., Treveri Mint, 2nd Officina 3.15g, 20.0mm, 6H Obverse: CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C, Bust of Constantine II, laureate, draped, cuirassed, left Reverse: PROVIDEN-TIAE CAESS, Camp gate with two turrets, without doors; star above Exergue: -/-//STR(dot on crescent) Provenance: Ex. Toronto Coin Expo October 2019, Ex. George Cook Reference: RIC VII Treveri 479
My most photogenic is this one from Heraclea. I've had it some 25 years or so: Constantine II as Caesar, AD 317-337. Roman Æ Centenionalis, 3.86 gm, 18.2 mm. Heraclea, AD 327-329. Obv: CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust, right. Rev: PROVIDENT-IAE-CAESS, campgate with two turrets, no doors; star above. Dot left field; SMHЄ in exergue. Refs: RIC 96; RCV 17241; Cohen 164.
Side bar: clearly yours and mine, despite being Constantius II, were created by the same die engraver! Right!? Constantius II As Caesar, AD 324-337. Æ Follis, Treveri (Trier) mint. Struck AD 326. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust left / Camp-gate with two turrets and no door; star above; PTR(pellet-within-crescent). RIC VII 480; LRBC 29. Ex: @Severus Alexander
