First of all, it's not a "D", it's a "C", for cud. The Mint did you a favor & placed it at the cud to highlight it for you (they're not always so nice!). Save it in a special place.
Lol that's from Coin World on the article about Mint police officer William Grey stealing the pesidential dollars missing the edge lettering and selling them for 2.4 million
here's an excerpt from a CoinWorld article ======= Yes, and William Grey was "Employed" from 1996 until 2011 ======= He stole from 2007 onwards above two referenced from https://www.justice.gov/archive/usao/nj/Press/files/pdffiles/2011/Gray, William Information.pdf ====== There were no Edge Lettering machines at the Mints in 1996. As mentioned, that was starting in 2007.
He quickly read the article cherrypicking dates to create a correlation to his 1996 Quarter. William Grey starting working at the mint in 1996. He started stealing in 2007 with the Presidential Dollars. No edge lettering machines were at the mint in 1996. Isn't this a common thing to "read" stuff at lightning speed but not really read it. Then create the correlation on false facts ?
