    Thank you. It's a Washington Cent. It exists with large and small eagle, with the small eagle, like this one being the scarcer of the two. They were made in Birmingham, England with the objective to convince the U.S government to adopt the design. Two casks full of these were shipped to the United States and distributed to members of Congress. Many circulated in the U.S presumably. Washington declined the proposal objecting to his image being used on a coin.

    When you posted this one I was very intrigued by the Washington cent and went and did some studying on it. If I see o e come available, I believe I just might have to add it to my collection. That is one very handsome piece. And yours looks like it left the engravers last week. Very, very handsome coin.
