Well, it CAN be argued, THAT is a correct answer for every question asked . . . . . for some folk . . . . . Z
In a somewhat perverted sense, I click on posts that are obviously misinformed or clueless individuals looking for a quick buck; and love the responses from the informed and knowledgeable members. Many times it makes my day! I also learn more and more about coins and coin collecting.
I actually learned something here. I have never blocked anyone before so I didn't realize what it looked like.
And it illustrates why this particular person is ignored. I am 99% sure that I am not missing anything of interest/value/entertainment if I skip those threads for the moment. It's a filter!
I’ve got a few on ignore. I got sick of their ignorant politically charged posts or know it all posts and said goodbye.
Some response in here, I'm certain, already covers this. Many folks respond simply to let the original individual (OP?) that her post or question was read by someone. Perhaps to say, "I cannot help you, but help is on the way. I am hereby acknowledging your existence, question or issue, but, sorry, I cannot help. Others will reply soon." Of course, all that is unsaid in the response. But I suspect that is the unconscious intent. Rather thoughtful, if you think about it. I am not psychologist or psychiatrist, I just have to pretend I am at times working with staff and clients. Have a terrific day! David
Awe, now you went and complicated life . . . but . . . Ye fergot the qualifier . . . . fer sum folks . . . .
I like to post, even if a subject has been answered, for the interaction with the OP. I have had many a nice side bar conversations in private messages because I have responded to threads already answered. Plus there is the obvious one that we have people who "set" on this thread all the time. (I'm not saying that's a bad thing at all.) Just saying that we have many members who are here very frequently. It's a good thing at times.
