..only the 2nd auction I have been to. It was fun. There was a nice collection of coins. An 1877 Indian head, some real nice trade dollars. I picked up this 20cent piece for $95.00. Think I paid to much? It doesn't have that great of eye appeal. Give me your opinions. I think I paid what its worth.

Well, I don't know about over paying for it, you gave what you thought it was worth at least to yourself. I do know however that is one more 20 cent piece than I have in my collection! Congratulations on your purchase.

Not really. That's about right for that coin, in that condition.
    Congratulation, Jim! :)

    It's better than the one I have...cause I don't have one ;--)
I think LIBERTY is the first thing to wear on 20 cent pieces isn't?

BTW--what shape was the 1877 IHC in?

I can see the T and Y In the shield on the 20 center. Thats it.

The 1877 was in nice shape but had no liberty at all in the head band. It went for $500.00. I can see where you could pick up some good deals at these auctions. I'll have to go to more when I can't get out and detect. Much funner to get em for free in the dirt. :D
