Please some body can tell me if those rays is error o is normal. In the edge the W, seem two times stamped.
Can't say anything about the WE but the "rays" are the result of die wear. That is what the mint calls "starburst". It is caused by the outward radial expantion of thousands of planchets scraping across the surface of the die. On new dies it created the flowlines that impart luster to the coins but as more and more coins a struck the flowlines become deeper and heavier and you get what you see on your coin. If the dies continue in use the flowlines get very heavy and ugly.
