Never found one of these before. An accidental Cherrypick, since I did not see the variety until after I bought it. FS-1304 MPD misplaced date in the dentils. Top of a "6." See it?
Very cool find. However, that can’t really be a 6 can it, unless the 6 is upside down? Looks like the 8 to me.
This half dime completes the second page of the Type Set album. It’s all 5-cent pieces. This is how that page looks, all finished.
I got another Trade Dollar today. 13 down, 12 to go. This one is rather ugly, but I got it cheap, so I can live with it for now. When phase 2 of my TD collection starts, I'll upgrade. I kind of like it in its unique ugliness.
What with trying to simultaneously look into many different denominations and types for my type set, I finally bumbled into buying the same thing twice. Doh. I thought one of them was something else. But there’s really no excuse. An 1853 Liberty Seated dime with arrows. And an 1853 Liberty Seated dime with arrows. The first one looks better in the type set. Here it is with more detail.
Got this one from @C-B-D - nice original surfaces and a scarce variety, too. @Eduard @Seattlite86 @okbustchaser
Congratulations! It’s the O111a die state, right? PS: A note to all CT members who aren’t into Busties, the 1807 is probably the variety with the highest collectors interest.
Yes, it's the a, (and therefore to sticklers like myself not a "true" Goddess) but for the price I paid I'll settle. Edit to add, Just want to say that the scratches on the obverse though there are not nearly as noticeable in hand.
