I won this the other day on feebay, got it in the mail today! I'll find a way to wear it one of these days! https://www.allcoinvalues.com/united-kingdom/1902-uk-florin-value2c-edward-vii.html
The Brits loved to wear their coinage, they loved enammelled coins......which was an art in its self.
Yeah, I've seen some of the enameled ones, very nice but too pricey for me! I got a surprisingly great price on this one, I paid less than $3 for it! Nice to score once in awhile! Yep, I was thinking the same thing!
Yep, it's a little bigger than I normally wear but I'll pin it onto one of my old man hats especially when at a coin show! Represent coins and silver for a win, win!
@fretboard Here is the #1 reference on enammelled coins. I W Chick wrote it and is or was the go to person....im not sure that he is still with us....the book a 2003 reference 5 year out of date when purchased he sent me a side note with his full contact information in case I needed a updated value. These are pricy..and some very rare.
Those are amazing pieces! Nice collection you have there, I wonder if the Peru was made in England, do you know?
LoL yes these were apart of my collection at one time. I sold off all of them for quite a large sum. These are very popular in the UK. Most of these were made in England the more colors on a coin the higher $$$'s I had a matched set of $5 Indian US gold. Which were a set of cuff links both had 7 colors on them including the face also done in a clear toned yellow . The one I wish I never let go was a us 2.50 indian gold that was unbelievable. Burmese peacocks are another coin that are so pretty with the tail feathers done. If you go to ebay UK and spell enamelled coins this way you should find some nice specimens.
Nice, next on my list! Just kidding, I wouldn't want to pay the high prices of gold right now but I'll keep my eyes peeled!
