According to ecoinprices.com, the 1844 Seated Liberty dime starts at $164 in good condition (which means roughly that liberty is worn smooth, the date is visible, and the rims are complete). If the coin has been cleaned or is otherwise damaged, then it would be worth less. The 1917 Mercury dime is worth $2 in good, on up to over $150 for some uncirculated speciments. As with all of your coins, it would be much easier to give you advice on what they're worth if you would post pictures or at least more detailed descriptions of your coins.
Hi Linda Coin Digest at full retail for a G-4 1844 seated begins at 275.00 ,, Im not sure what the difference between this guide and ecoinprices is. If you could post a pic, a little better guess as to condition and value could be made !! As for the 1917 Mercury, Does it look like this one ? Rick
GD Is ecoinprices a compilation of realised prices for any given coin, if not what makes them closer to reality ? Rick
The thing that makes ecoinprices more accurate is that the owner at least makes an effort to average the realized prices. Most other price guides only list the single highest realized price.
