1983 LMC 1 cent DDR

    Jello,
    I don't see a DDR in any of the photo maybe I'm missing it. I do see a die broke in the first pic. Can you point out what you are seeing?

    Sorry, but it isn't. I have a lot like this one, and I assure you that you do too. The doubling looks like extra letters, not just shininess (machine doubling). Also pay attention to the direction that the doubling goes as this can be an easy indicator. On 1972 DDO for example the doubling extends to the right for the valuable versions and to the left for the common ones. Your "doubling" mainly on the C in cents is going the wrong direction. The E in cents also is going the wrong direction.

    I actually think this is Die Deterioration. Hopefully I'm getting better at this =P

    Sorry I don't see it. Sometimes the light will reflect and make it look different, but not this time.

    There is no evidence of a doubled die being used to strike this coin.
