What do you need advice on? That coin has had a tough 48 years

Absolute con. Coins like this are just damaged and waiting for the gullible to bite. Same goes for "Rare, unique, valuable" you tube videos which are just click bait for the uninitiated. You should read up on the minting process and study images on respected sites such as
    https://doubleddie.com/
    http://varietyvista.com/
for example. There are others also

Thank you so much for your input.

I don't go to you tube for things like this. The link is actually a website that sells a lot of different collectables.

I do realize that the dime has had a rough 48 years but that doesn't account for the placement of the "IN" and "WE" as well as the year. All have been stamped on the rim of the coin. Which lead me to think that there may possibly be an error on the obverse of the dime.

Looks like normal wear. I pulled about 20 circulated dimes out of a jar and 5 have the in and we spreading to the rim area

Etsy is a horrible place to look for error coin information and prices.
We tell this to new collectors many times.
    Those listings are ludicrous!

Your Dime is just circulation wear and tear.
    The rim has been dented.

One more question, please. Is there a book or a website that is for researching coins and finding their value? Like Kelly's Blue Book does for cars?

    There are.
But you must realize that there are some factors you need to learn before looking for values such as..
The grade of the coin.. condition
Key Dates.. low mintages vs high mintages
Metals used.. Clad, copper, silver and gold

These are important things to know and it takes time. Just stay away from Etsy!

I think coins of that type on Etsy are a front for something else they are "selling."

Some have speculated possible human trafficking, drugs, money laundering, etc.

If the seller has sales at those prices, it would indicate something else is going on. You used to see "code words" in the listings, such a a female name or a place, each different in each listing. The thought was, look up the "item" you wanted on a clandestine list, and buy it on Etsy referencing that name.

    Just my thoughts.

Etsy is one of the worst sites to buy from on the internet.
Or use as a reference. (unless using it as what not to do).

Are those sellers on Etsy so unrealistic that they can get thousands for a damaged coin. I have never looked for coins on Youtube and seldom on ebay. I did buy my wife a Clairol set of curlers. The kind that have rollers that heat up. This is her third set of curlers she had to get because the other's bases have broken down. I have been trying for 25 years to get her to find another way to curl her hair. Anyway, most things that I buy from ebay have been great. Oh yeah, I do have 286 1943 (P), D, S cents. My dad collected them.

Would you go to your plumber's website for instructions on removing your tonsils?

Looking at Etsy (a crafts marketplace) for collectable coins is about the same...
