    ppratt,

    Nice find! I believe that the coin is genuine. It is a shame that you broke the bottle to get the coin out as it may have been more rare than the coin! Although the bottle could have been hand blown later, it is quite possible that it was made in the late 1700's to early 1800's as what you described, is consistent with bottles produced during this time period.

    Please take the counterfeit talk with a grain of salt! He might state that my big butt is a counterfeit due to it's irregular surfaces. However, I can guarantee that it is not, since I have had it for some 55 Years, 9 Months and 20 Days!:bigeyes::whistle: I sure hope that he doesn't want me to post pictures of it!:eek:

    So out of 100s of coins how many do you have that are Colonial?

    How many Virginia half pennies do you have or seen?

    How many counterfeit coins do you have?

    What books have you read or where did you get your knowlege of counterfeits?

    Calling out the word counterfeit is not a good thing when talking about coins. So you better have something to back up your claim, other than a picture of a proof coin posted on the net.

    I knew someone would not let that one pass. At this point I am almost sure he was going to say he had it memorized. He also knows the coin is counterfeit, he is the one that buried it in the first place.

    Yeah! She apparently had some screws knocked loose by the same bullet that killed John Lennon. No that's wrong, she actually had a lot of screws loose before ever meeting John!

    Yoko Ono is a counterfeit "musician". She wouldn't even grade AG.

    To all:
    Lets keep this thread open until Isaiah admits:
    1) That Yoko is a hack;
    or
    2) That this coin may be real;
    or
    3) that Trade $ sold in China have a 99.9999999999999999999999999999999% chance of being fake, and that his was not the exception.

    Let's address these individually shall we?

    1. Yoko Ono is the greatest artist to ever live and if your listening to anything but her, your missing out.

    2. I doubt it, but anything is possible.

    3. That trade dollar is most likely genuine. It was the greatest $7 purchase of my life.

    Let's reevaluate.

    1. Yoko Ono is a waste of oxygen and she killed the Beattles. LOL.
    2. The coin is genuine.
    3. Thinking that a seven dollar trade dollar from China is genuine is dilusional.

    Good idea, but he'll never admitt anything.
