I actually found it when I was removing some old posts from the garden. The other side is pretty damaged, should I try to restore it? If so, how?

It’s an interesting piece. Not sure what it is. Some type of token of medal. My thoughts On restoration would be soaking for a couple weeks in olive oil to stabilize the corrosion. I would suggest Verdicare but it’s almost impossible to get now. I’m thinking it’s bronze copper or brass

Looking at the reverse it may be some kind of button. It almost looks like a thin brass or copper skin over a lead or base metal ground and the rusty area where an attachment loop of iron or steel was

I was gonna say the same thing as Maine bill.
Repeated couple week long soaks in olive oil and distilled water. I have had luck with this method.
    Good luck.

Thanks for your replies. I'll give the olive oil thing a go then, I'll update if there's any progress. Thanks again

New York 1853 was a crystal palace.
London 1852 also a crystal palace.

the top one is Munchen Germany 1854, and a glaspalast, (glass palace) "crystal palace"

I don't know about paris.. The Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées was built later.
    1867 Exposition Universelle.

I feel like this has something to do with the crystal palaces, or the palaces of industry that were constructed for these world expositions.

No idea what that bottom one might be or the year. the dates suggest the palace constructions, not the exhibitions technically.

Never seen something like that before. the material of it also suggests possibly it's made of steel or iron. is it magnetic?

The bottom city is Stettin, the date looks as though it could be 1862
