Only missing the Holy Grail to finish my Wheat back book.
Not looking to pay $1500 to $2000 but hopeful I will find a 1909S vdb in at least "F" shape for a good price down the line at some point.

This one looks very sketchy.. Capture.PNG

Hard to tell from this photo. But the color seems questionable.

My guess is that poor photography was the original problem.
The original image came out too dark so the seller "brightened" it.

Capture.PNG The seller is also selling a slabbed Lincoln 1958D MS67 for $1800..
To many way way way overpriced coins in my meager opinion..

I would get some confirmation from ICG that the coin in the slab is authentic.

Looks pretty legit, but im no expert on cents.... of course buyer beware on Ebay. Plus, i wont buy a coin from a dealer i dont now on ebay unless its an NGC or PCGS holder. I REALLY like that NGC takes pictures of the coins when grading so you can attempt to make sure they match.

It verifies on the ICG site, the graded info they have on file and the holder do match. I made sure before i said i thought it was legit.

People do sometimes claim that ICG grades coins higher than competitors, but I think they're well-trusted for authentication and details/straight-grade decisions.

I have had several ICG graded coins only to have them cross to PR69 by PCGS. It looks like to me that someone rubbed this one with their hand.

That coin was graded in CO so I've never seen it. Looks OK.

Did they cross at a lower grade or straight across?

Who would possibly want a 1958-D Lincoln MS 67 for $1800?
Buy an ounce of gold ($1937).

 Obviously, the guy who bid $100 over the $1700 bid.

Lower PR69 instead of PR70, makes a big difference in value.

Figured that. From a business perspective, giving an ICG slabbed coin a crossover grade the same would give some legitimacy to ICG so they have an incentive to lower the grade. Wonder what would happen if you cracked it out then sent it in. Yes, it's a gamble but you could learn something important.

We all have heard stories. Don't send ICG coins still in slabs for cross to NGC or PCGS. I'm going to dig out and experiment a dealer did.

Looks to me like a decent coin. Not sure I understand the issue.
