    Also, don’t clean the coin mechanically (if you are planning to clean the coin). The deposits are Horn silver, and I expect this to dissolve quickly and nice in a sodium thiosulphate solution (I would definitely clean this coin were it mine)

    Unfortunately it’s part of a hoard of 377 Denarius I found about four weeks ago,I can’t clean any until they are either declared treasure or not.

    Hello Mr, I have one old greek coin which my parents got in 1996, could I send you on some email, cause i can not find him nowhere and i am from Croatia, we dont have people who know about it, i dont know how to post picture here and i still dont have permission for that, mail for confirmation still didnt came.

    Congrats on the neat find, wish I could go metal detecting in UK area. Wont be able to find anything like that here in Tx hahaha

    Once confirmation comes through, feel free to create your own thread on the board with some photos and information like size and weight. To upload an image, click the "Upload a File" button below the text box, select your image file, and it will upload and appear in a list below. From there you can add it to your post where your cursor is (be sure to move your cursor where you want it placed) by clicking the "Full Image" button beside your photo in the list.
