Silver 3 Cent

Just trying to get better photos. Cropping could be better as well. I think captured the toning and detail decently. Uneven wear.
No real questions just posting but if you have any thoughts let them fly!

Maybe it would stand out more with a white background.

 

Is there a way to improve the lighting to better see the date?

 

Damn fine example. One of my favorite coin series.

I often try bumping the exposure just a bit. Sometimes this needs a following slight adjustment to the contrast to make it look as natural as the original but seeming brighter with more detail.

 

Thanks guys! I am at work now. Will try to get some more light on the date. Really tough without washing out the coin with too much light and then loosing the toning.

 

What the heck. Working from home! So I bumped the contrast and the brightness just a bit.

 

Under halogen lights . . . . ?

 

This show the date a bit better. The second 1 looks large and a bit out of place...
