I'm with you. I was into the state quarter issues in the first few years, but have grown tired of it. I want to get back to a quarter that has Washington looking sideways on the front, and an eagle on the back. I'm tired of the mish-mash of designs we have now.
I want to go back to detailed pictures of liberty. Pre-president coins were the best. Saint Gaudens, Morgan, Peace, Walkers, Mercs, even Seated with her broken neck. Make new Liberty coins that aren't just pictures of the statue (I HATE the presidential dollars) with a beautiful, majestic eagle. (no offense to barber, gold, or coppers :)
I'm with you skrilla, the old coins with lady liberty on them were, in my opinion the most beautiful. These new quarters are what I would call... Crap
we can do better than that as well. I doubt the femenists will allow for it any longer anyways... I like Beavers, Trains, and Iwa Jima Ruben
That's why there was the SBA dollar. The original design was really good. There were 17 1977 patterns made. It was a great pity they were all destroyed.
sad day. no bueno. so many designs. the mint seems DETERMINED to take all of the US's history and put it on a quarter. What's next? A Great Depression quarter?
No one is stopping them. Evey few years they have a referendum on whether to be come a state, independent, or just stay as they are. They always vote to stay as they are.
They are not bad as these designs go. Only 1 and a half "Island Shape" designs. Similar tropical look to all but the DC quarter.. nice change of pace... UGH...but that Native American dollar? Thats all they could come up with? The Abraham Lincoiln comem is a SURE winner though
