New addition to my Isle of Man collection, although the actual origin of this mule seems to be unclear.

I found a very interesting penny. I think it is an error coin.

Here's a picture of an 1884 O DMPL morgan I've had for a long time now. It's low MS but the reflection is very strong.

My start to Numismatics was while on a Boy Scout camping trip. In a creek, I first found many coins in a rock-cut in the middle of the creek. The first was Stone Mountain half they amounted to about 30. The coin that got me started was 1875 s twenty Cent coin. Other found were cents=Flying Eagles, Indians, Lincolns. others were Shield, Liberty, and Buffalo Nickles. The coins closest to our date was a quarter dated 1944. This will be my only post on this section today 8-29-2020 Neat place to see what all have an interest in our collecting.

Entry Post - thanks once again, Lord!

Here's a coin that will provide me hours and hours of fun and entertainment. It's a Brazilian 1818-R 960-reis (KM 307.3). So far, from both Numista and http://news.coinupdate.com/the-960-reis-overstrikes-of-brazil/, I learned that these coins were primarily struck over previously minted coins - even some U.S. coins. One probably cannot see it here, but on the reverse, around the edge, on two of those stands, has what I discern to be an 'A' and a 'D'. I think this coin was struck on an eight-reales Pillar coin.

If I should be the lucky winner, I'm eyeballing that 1876-J German five-pfennig.

I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

I just received and ordered more of, my latest fascination.....Merc Dimes. If I could just find me a 1916-D that doesn't cost the same as two car payments!
Good Luck to Everybody! Thank YOU Lord M for making this all happen!

Entry post! This is one of my more recent paper money buys. Not really that exciting or rare but I like it. I didn't pay $30 either, for some reason the seller put that sticker on it (there was no sticker in the pics).

I'm going to try to do the drawing on or shortly after 9/11. That's the date I picked for the end of my similar giveaway on Collectors Universe, and it's an easy-to-remember date, for all the wrong reasons. I'm having (minor) surgery that day, but should be able to do the drawing then- or at least on that weekend, I think.

Oh. Ha! I see what you did, there. Took me a sec to "get" it.

In this case, they're gonna burn it out, with laser beams.

(Second round of vein surgery... for both legs. Ugh. Prolly TMI, huh. More than you needed to know.)

ENTRY POST ... Unchecked Coins .. small fraction of what I have saved from spare change the past two years in tins, jars, bags, cans, boxes, medicine bottles, & plastic cases!
I thought I wanted the Bicentennial Quarter cause I started collecting those as a kid... But, I think I may rather go for the Colorful Washington Nickel since it's rather attractive! Plus it's Soo clean looking.
