I read a story once about these. If I have it right they were not popular when first discovered. Q. David Bowers thought they were and ran around picking up all he could find. He later sold them for a really nice profit. No telling what that group would be worth today. What a great coin.

Actually they thought they were an interesting novelty and offered to by them for 25 cents each, but after awhile they felt they were acquiring too many of thm and stopped buying them.
