Show me your best woodies! Each woodie that the most “standing out” ,thickest lines, and oldest will have the highest score wins the game. Rules: please add some puns and maybe even real wooden coins too (puns and wooden coins won’t count). Ok here is my best woodie
Looks like a fun game. Here is a photo of what I have to go through to enter your contest. I have to sort these woodies for what I think is the best. There are about 30 here. I will get back to you.
I am going to break the rules and post a real wooden medal produced from pressed wood. This was issued for Grover Cleveland during the 1884 presidential campaign. There was a peroid in the 1870s and '80s when pressed wood pieces were very popular. There is a complete set of pressed medals issued for the 1876 Centennial celebration. As for the wood grain looking cents, I tend a void them because I don't care for the look. It distracts from the design.
Remember oldest, most contrasted thickest lines on a woodies wins the game. Most contrasted means most standing out or most blackest

Start your own post after you've read the rules. It is considered impolite to "hijack" someone else's post. And here is my usual two cents on photos. You should always post in focus FULL IMAGE photos (after you upload your photo, two buttons appear: Thumbnail and Full Image, click Full Image and your photo appears full size on your post and is easily enlarged by clicking on it. Always show both the obverse and reverse, even if your question is just about one side. Members can often give more valuable information having both sides to evaluate. Crop out superfluous background so just the coin shows, and post photos with correct orientation so members don't have to turn their computer in some awkward fashion to view it properly. Add close ups of areas you have questions about and make your questions as definitive as possible so we know what you are asking for. And try to have the best lighting possible to show the most favorable photo of the coin. Hope this helps in the future. Good luck.
I need to take better pictures but here is a LMC, VEDS, MAD woody. Almost forgot LD! See if the newbies can figure out all the acronyms!
