I have always enjoyed my Dukats, but that Zambia 250 Kwacha really overshadows its design. Both are nice, Zambia is gorgeous. Nice captures, John! Oh, and it is time for you to stop working, and start posting some coins!

Thanks, I am now forced to pack it in at 8:00/ sun is setting an hour early. I really like the 1974/79 Conservation coin series. 24 Countries issued 2 Crown sized AR coins/ plus a 34g. AV coin. I have most except for Falklands. I am not fussy about modern coins/ but these are nice designs. I have 160+ AV coins from Germany/ most 1300-1850, really beautifull, today German coins are ugly/ modernistic in design My favs are Salzburg/ Transylvanian gold....much $$$$. As for dogs....Rotties rule! They have the 3 "B"s Beauty/ brawn/ brains Its raining cats and dogs, reason why I am not working
Here is my coin with a dog. The posture of the dog reminds me of Doberman Pinscher or German Shepherd breeds . A more complete example can be found on http://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=6639776 (Hemi?)chalkous of Artaxias I (Artashes I, founding king of the Armenian Artaxiad, Artashesian, dynasty), 190 BC - 160 BC, Kovacs.44. First series of Artaxias I coinage, with Aramaic legends (later series replacing the alphabet with Greek). Obv.: head of Artaxias I, right, bearded and wearing a five-pointed tiara tied with a diadem. Rev.: 'rthṣsy mlk' (in Aramaic for king Artashes), dog standing right.
I have a couple of other pieces, but I could not find the pictures. This piece has gotten very pricey since I bought it years ago. There are not many numismatic pieces that include humor in the design.
