1982 D Lincoln Cent Sm/Lg.. ??

    I apologize for even asking this one.. I can't tell the difference between the 1982 D large and small date.. I have read numerous articles about it and I still can't tell.. Are any of these the small date?? Every one of them looks different.. Is there anything on the reverse that may help identify the small date?? TY

    It takes me seconds to tell the difference.
    On the large date the bottom of the number looks like an L shape. On the Small date the 2 looks like a backwards S..

    If you are searching for a 1982 Denver Minted Copper Small Date then good luck.
    Only 2 have ever been discovered and attributed.
    Dozens of new members come on here every year thinking they discovered a 3rd example but they always turn out to be a Large Date.

    Definitely large dates but another way to put it would be, they're spenders.
