Is one difference between MD and dd is that MD is flat and dd is raised????I got the small date large date downpack but I want to be able to tell the difference right away. Gracia

MD occurs during the strike and has nothing to do with a true Doubled Die variety. So it's flat meaning lower than the elements.

Doubled Die occurs when the hub is being created so the doubling is the same height as the letters, numbers and images.
