I am sorry, but no...... Somebody has placed several coins and/or other objects in a vice and brought enough pressure to transpose the images. The inverted "Cents" is the dead giveaway.

Afraid if that. I'll be putting it back in circulation. One can hope.

    Thanks

Also, it is a 1987 and the impression is from a 2010 or later coin. The Shield is very visible.

The coin is real, the errors aren't. Hope you get your 1 cent back from some merchant ;) .

Don't do that.. Keep it and show it to your freinds. Then that way they can also understand the difference.

Welcome to CT. Yes, the coin is real and worth a cent, but the Post Mint Damage is just that, damage done after it left the mint. Appears to be a squeeze job. Put two, or more, coins between blocks of wood and squeeze in a vice, whallah, you have one that looks close to yours.
Always good to ask if you can't find the answer elsewhere.

So the next person who finds it can come ask one of the online forms about it. Or just try and sell it on ebay as a major error.

It's only one cent. Toss it in the garbage so somebody else is not deceived.
