    I voted to leave it imprisoned.

    If it is a capsule, not an epoxy resin mold, then try prying it where the chain loop is. Get some leverage there. Wear gloves and safety glasses.

    If you want to try and break it out, and the encasement is actually plastic, soak it in 100% acetone long enough to soften the plastic and it should peel right off. Just a suggestion.
