Hep with identifying roman coin

    Hi, i have recently found this coin while metal detecting, if anyone could tell me what roman coin it is it would be very gratefully appreatied

    Good luck. All I can barely make out is part of the radiate crown.

    Put it in water for a couple of months and brush it.

    Am I correct in guessing that you found it in England? I agree with justus' suggestion.

    If you've never cleaned ancient coins before, just let it soak in distilled water for a few weeks (change the water every few days) and brush it with a toothbrush. If you feel comfortable with it, you can also scrape lightly at areas with firm dirt with a toothpick. It doesn't look like its in good condition but a little clean goes a long way.

    Could try light dabbing of distilled water and then using a toothpick or bamboo piece to try and restore the coin. Ive used the same method for restoring some of mine.
