Which 1955 Jefferson Nickel do you prefer?

  1. Coin #1: Lightly Toned

  2. Coin #2: Deep Toner with rainbow peripheries

    I prefer coin #2. I don't like the fingerprint toning on #1.

    It doesn't, the toning is really deep, it mutes the luster and the strike is awful. IMO, the first coin outperforms #2 in every are with maybe the exception of surface preservation. The first coin is raw and I am considering sending it to NGC for grading; it is a solid MS65 with an outside chance at MS66.
