This is my last fraud coin post as I could go on for days finding scams on ebay and etsy and clog the forum as i'm sure everyone can too. This one is just insane. Its more from being mad than anything that someone might bite..
Would you be this incredulous if the coin offered for $50,000 was let's say, a broadstrike or double struck with one out of collar and a legitimate error and that's what they wanted for it, or is it the exorbitant pricing in general? Just curious where the line gets drawn.where it's "woah that's expensive, but it's one of a kind for the date", vs. "SCAM!". clearly these posted items are hoping someone with money is stupid and likes to throw it away, no doubt about that.
This is my invisible penny you can hold it, feel it, and even spend it. I'm only asking five dollars for it and that includes free priority shipping. Better get it before it disappears thanks for looking!
No scam, no fraud, not really misrepresented (he calls it tall letters, well it is unless you can find one with taller letters) , and he can ask any price he wants. You may not like it but he has done nothing wrong. This is where "let the buyer beware" comes in. If you don't know what you are buying, don't buy it. Another good cliche "a fool and his money are soon parted". He put out an add, and he is hoping for a fool, but no one is going to put a gun to the fools head and make him buy it.
