I have some older slabs that are scratched & lately some of my new purchases are in clear sleeves, so i picked up enough to do all my slabs.

Question; Is it better to put the bottom in first leaving the top exposed, or put the top in first with the slab full protected except at the bottom to help with ANY potential, future problems? They are "poly" though there are a lot of poly's in the world.

Other threads talk about potential long term damage, even when using those Guardhouse boxes? Thanks to everyone for their replies

I would think it would depend on how you stored that sleeved slab afterwards. I think the extra protection would be good no matter how you put it on. JMHO

In my opinion the sleeves are unnecessary. The scratches generally happen from being mishandled or slid across a table type thing. If you just put your slabs in a good box or even just stack them they won't scratch unless an accident or something like that happens

The only slab sleeves I have are ones that came with the slab when I bought the coin.
If I have a scratched slab, I polish it.
    I don't buy slab sleeves.
