Hey guys I have this 1898 S Morgan Silver dollar, It's been graded by NTC or the Numistrust Corporation ( I know I know ). What grade would you give the coin, and then I will tell what NTC gave it.
That was dumb sorry 1898 S. I was thinking about another coin while I was typing. As for cleaned the pictures aren't the best sorry, but I can still see the cartwheel on the coin.
Wow just checked the prices on the 1893 S, I wouldn't mind having that one instead. I bet this thread is going to get a ton a views lol.
Your picking remind me of one washed with baking soda or something like that. I will say AU55 - and the NTC grade is like MS65.
Yea sorry for the pics haven't mastered the Macro pics yet. Anyway the generous graders at Numistrust gave it a MS62
Well I guess the whole gang are doing a lot of drinking at the third party grading company .NTC I would never send my coins there. I could not see how a coin with wear can even make an MS grade it;s not an uncirculated coin Well they were drunk for sure or blind one of the two. I put red were the extensive wear is I can't believe it MS 62 over graded indeed. Jazzcoins Joe
98 s's are not known for strong strikes in fact the opposite. I think it's a nice looking coin (especially in the last photo). I vote ms.
i think those morgan dollars are the most beautiful coins the u.s. mint ever produced. i loved looking at those pictures in this thread.
