I picked this coin up from an antique store. It was on sale for like $3.00. I tend to collect coins I like or find odd. Anyway I bought the coin, because it was so insanely tiny. (note: its in a penny holder) The coin measures 12mm across. I also thought the face value was odd, 1.5 pennys(?). It's dated 1835 and is the oldest coin I have, I can't seem to find any info on it though, except what the card says. "Great Britain, 1 1/2 penny, 1835, and some other numbers that seem like giberish. So anyone know any more about it?

It's a 4 year British sterling type coin made from 1834 to 1837.

They don't seem to be especially tough in low grade.

English "Three-Halfpence" which was in production from 1834 to 1843. William the Fourths head until 1837 and Victorias until 1843..... They were also minted in 1860 and 1862 and these are more sought after as is the 1837. Best wishes, Mike.
