    Lincoln's bowtie looks kinda big.
How much did you pay? If it's fake even a $1 is to much but a fun coin to have.

I would say counterfeit. Look at the floating bow tie, the bridge of his nose is missing, etc.

I can't imagine anyone owning a real one and not having it graded. So, I'm saying fake in the ziplock.

I don't understand why you would buy them and then come here asking for confirmation. These things should be verified well before buying simply because they would be extremely rare and cost prohibitive to most people.

Your buddy still owes you a lot of money. Same amount as before, actually.

Definitely not real. You poll should have included No as a choice.

The ole "my grandpa" stash story. One of the oldest and likely untrue source of "rare and valuable" old coins on the internet. Especially effective because it kind of explains why they are not authenticated and not graded by the well known third party graders.

    On the Lincoln cents:

easy: see if they are attracted to a magnet:
    1943 if yes= plated.

    1944 if no= plated.

    the Morgan $ - don't bother, fake
