And I mean a challenge. I bought a small mixed lot in order to get a particulr coin and this was in the mix. I hate not being able to narrow these things down but here I have admitted defeat and am asking for some help in foguring out what this Ae AS of Hadrian might be attributed as. It is horrbly rough and roached out but there are still elements that can be discerned. 10.37gms. 24.92mm. 180 degrees My guess at the obverse would be:- Obv:- IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG, Laureate bust right with drapery on far shoulder but this is a guess. As far as the reverse is concerned I can make out TR POT COS running from 12 o'clock so the reverse legend might be [PONT MAX ]TR POT COS [III], S - C Now for the deity.... The deity seems to be draped. There seems to be a sceptre or spear on the left. There seems to be something held in the other hand, possibly a cornucopia, a parazonium or even a Victoriola One leg appears to be raised so possibly foot resting on helmet? Roma/Virtus? Felicitas?
