Hello everyone I have a 2002 Ohio State quarter That weights 6 gms. Everything else weights 5.5-5.8. Is this normal or an error?
Does your scale weigh to tenths (0.1), hundredths (0.01), or thousandths (0.001)? Have you calibrated the scale? If you have a scale that only weighs to tenths, it’s not accurate enough for good coin weights. Pictures?
First, please post full pictures, not thumbnails. Many knowledgeable folks here will will not respond because they cannot see the coin fully. Second, please tell us about your scale.
I thought these were full size pics. I didn't do any cropping just took with iphone and uploaded to the post. Yes the scale is right on all the rest (about 500 other quarters in the last week), and I weighed it numerous times to be sure. Probably nothing just weird to me. The scale I am using is called a smart weight, (Good reviews but not high end). I bought a set of weights to use for calibrating also. Thanks for any help you offer everyone.
I appreciate your response. Please, again, can you tell everyone the accuracy of your scale. Can you also post full pictures of your coin on the scale?
They're not thumbnails, open the pics in new tabs and they're 1920x1440 resolution. Sorry OP I had to help out and put these up on Imgur...
If you have to open them......then they are thumbnails The OP still hasn’t answered the original questions. What is the scale specifications, is it accurate, and where are the pictures of the coin in question on an accurate scale?
