I’ve come across the WP quarters within last 3 months and got 3 in a 2 week period. Still learning and reading to understand just the basics of coins. Are the WP quarters still sought after or gone away?

Still sought after. You have a nice mixture of the 2019 quarters. There was only 2 million of each design made. I believe the 2019's are still selling in the $8 to $12 range. The better the condition the better the price. The bottom photo of the San Antonio missions quarter looks to be in great shape.

I haven't found any yet. Some of the commercial banks in NYC must be overstocked with quarters. When I do get rolls I'm still receiving BU rolls from 2017, and 18. The way it's been going I expect to get 2019 and 20 quarters next year.

I know this sounds crazy and stupid for getting coins at these places. But I went to wash car at car wash. Got quarters from machine and that’s where I found the first one. So I started going to different car washes in my area and searching the quarters. I would get $20-30 at a time. I’ve got a 1957 quarter that is in decent condition considering the age of coin. And that’s where I’ve found 5 of the 6 I have is getting quarters at car wash machines. I got one from the bank

Would it be worth having them sent off to be graded and check for errors. Couple have die cracks and possible double die

Yes, Meow does get some old rolls too. A few months ago Meow got 30 rolls of 2017 Missouri ATBs and 25 rolls of 2019 AMP ATBs. Meow had to save them all for the Cat Hoard and too took a $550 hit to Meow's life budget. Also an apparent collectors cash in of 5 Alaska and 5 Oklahoma State rolls with markings on the roll paper as such that the bank crossed out. So actually Meow had $650 taken out of this Cats budget to feed the Cat Hoard. No wonder Meow has empty pockets all the time.

General answer, no absolutely not. For a regular coin you would probably have to get it back as a 68 to make it worthwhile, and minor errors such as die cracks add no premium value. Even a doubled die probably wouldn't add a premium value high enough to justify the slabbing expense unless it was really extreme, and frankly with single squeeze hubbing those don't really happen. The vast majority of "doubled dies" that most newbies post aren't doubled dies at all, they are mechanical doubling damage. And pardon me if I am making an incorrect assumption, but the fact that you seem to think that die cracks might make them worth slabbing makes me think that you are a newbie who probably can't tell MDD from a doubled die.

Not crazy or stupid. They can show up Anywhere. Check Coin Laundries too. The one near me has quarter machines that take $20 bills. Have found a couple W's and some nice silvers from there. Sounds to me like some business in your area got a box loaded with W's , and thats why so many are showing up in your area. My grocery store got a box loaded with 2020 W's
in March....Kept buying and trading Rolls with them and ended up with over 60 2020 W quarters.

I’m still learning and what I’m not sure about of the doubling is on the obverse side. And it’s really confusing with what is dd. Cause I’ve seen where is was said to be mdd actually come back as a dd from wexler in a forum I read. I didn’t keep many coins from being misled by reading forums and other places saying it’s nothing or just a average nothing to actually be something. So it’s annoying to see that some people that are highly knowledgeable with coins to be so selfish that they can be proven wrong or just wrong.

And not misled personally but just by having very similar coins or same coin issues that were said to be nothing turned out to be something. Just need to educate myself more and not jump the gun one way or the other till know for sure

I have not handled a quarter since March. I have small tube of them that I used to fill up gradually over time as I got change. When I got to 40, I'd roll them up and take them to the bank.

Since I have not handled a quarter in five months, my chances of finding a "W" are zero, not that I was looking.

I will say that this year's crop are attractive. I was exposed to them via my 2020 silver Proof set from the mint.

I've gotten a couple of them. They seem few and far between. And of course, the better condition they are in, the better chances it will be to keep some value.

@LeoJMP. With so many types of doubling on today's coins it's getting very difficult to tell what is or is not a true doubled die.

The above was taken from this site: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doubled_die
I believe that's one of the reasons we're missing a doubled die and erroneously calling it MD or DDD.

Such stories make Meow quite jealous. Meow has to go through about $1000 in quarters before finding one W in AU or Bu condition.
