Earth, Wind and Fire! The founder of a company I worked at had them to play at either his wedding or another party - there was a video on YouTube, but I can't find it any more. He had Boney M at another gig. I suppose those old groups never died, they're just fading away gracefully! And if you've made magabucks, you can hire them Anyway, for some reason, I've been listening to some Roxy Music recently - perhaps lockdown cabin fever? As a bonus, the back-up mimer is Martha-Jane Ladly, once of Martha and The Muffins (Echo Beach). As for a coin, I've been trying to dig up something for next month's "Show and Tell" session at the local coin society. This year, we're going to do it over Zoom. As I just bought Red Spork's imitative denarius, I think I'll show an Eraviscan coin - here's one which came a couple of months back, also from Red Spork. Obv. Bearded male head (Jupiter) right Rev. The wife and I attended a trivia event last night and one of the categories was "Album covers'.. each album cover was revealed only partially at first with more being revealed as time ticked - more points the earlier you get it. It was a lot of fun. I got this classic immediately (as did many) but nostalgia took over today and I had to have a listen... it has been so long. So great! Released 41 years ago... ouch!
LOL, great Denarius!!! I think the Quadriga is great, the horses look like they are having FUN! Funny, I found my original CD yesterday, and just RIPPED it into iTunes TODAY! ♫"Take a look at my Girlfriend, ♪ she's the only one that I got..."♫ ♪
Oh that is awesome... the whole album is amazing (are we allowed to say "album" anymore?) Next lyrics .. you have to go one more line to remember when you were a teenager... ♫"Take a look at my Girlfriend, ♪ she's the only one that I got..."♫ ♪ Not much of a girlfriend, never seemed to get a lot" Classic!
Lol, yes a classic, and I always chuckled when you sat and listened to that song... came out when I was NOT a teenager... I had just turned... 20.
