so for like the last two years i coin roll hunted and thinking i knew what doubling was which I did not i have boxes of coins in squares for no reason at all at the time they looked "different" to me so now that I've been schooled on the fact I don't know a dang thing about a doubled die penny besides feeling real dumb I am going back through and double checking them that's why I post a lot I have a lot of possibles on deck ha and being I'm very new at this I cant trust myself to be sure if it is until I get a pros opinion. I do check them I'm not just posting random pennies expecting others to do the work and I'm truly learning from the feedback I get so I thank you all for all your inputs and opinions it is greatly appreciated. now this 1973 I think I'm seeing a lot of extra thickness in the motto also the 3 in 1973 towards the bottom seems to be doubled is this MD or is that legit? it seems to match up with 1dr-001 on copper coins it says in later die states its harder too see the doubling so I really don't stand a chance on being able to confirm if it is or isn't.
I don't think it's a doubled die but your photos (the closeups) are not the best. I'm not an expert but you can ask some of them. A few of them are: @JCro57; @furryfrog02; @Fred Weinberg; @desertgem; et al.
yeah idk I just switched my light source and I think there coming out way better there not so washed out I think the light was to bright.. hopefully they'll comment and put in there 2 cents thanks brother

When it comes to the minor doubling, that’s not my forte or interest. @Rick Stachowski has an eye for the tiny stuff though.
@Rick Stachowski Because I don't know much about doubled dies and from their previous posts they appeared to be knowledgeable about them. I don't tag any member without their permission and I have theirs. Would it be ok with you, if II tagged you the next time there's a question about DDs or other errors? Also, I'm surprised you think Fred knows nothing about this topic. Edit. I like to help others that have a question I can't answer.
