I have been going through my coins for several days now.. I have 3 1998 quaters.. Something is wrong with every one of them.. 2 have doubling.. I need an opinion.. Please bare with me, my pics are not turning out good.. The first coin is a 1998 P.. It has doubling on the front and back.. Especially the 2 L's on the reverse in DOLLAR..
Mechanical Doubling.. Worthless doubling. Most coins have this issue and that's why I don't bother looking for DDO's and DDR's unless they are the major kinds.
I have to agree with Paddy here. What that likely is is MD. But don't stop trykng! You never know what you might find!
Awe!! Every time!! Lol.. I have so many coins to go through.. My dad left a good many.. Apparently, I'm going about this all wrong.. So, unless it's a 1955 or a 1969 S, I'm wasting my time..
No, not at all! If I were you, I would go to Doubleddie and Variety Vista and make a list of errors that you think look easy to spot, and search for those! Random searching is something to do when you have a bit more experience IMO.
It's as paddy called it and I can just barely see it on "Dollar" but those last pics are way to over pixelated.
Aside from what you've already been told, all three are PMD. Two with environmental damage and the middle one with a coin rolling machine scratch. Sorry but good luck on the hunt.
