Rare Drachm or gift shop copy?

I'm ready to try exploring the ancient world once again, after a few fails.



So, the edge on this coin is smooth, first thing I checked. It's not Roman, since there is no face on it

After taking the photos and properly storing the coin to the best of my ability, Hours of searching led me to this:

Is my coin real or did it come from the home shopping network? Thanks to all replies

I know nothing about these coins. Having said that, it looks like the coin is concave on both sides. Look at the obverse 3h and reverse 9h. That should not be possible on a genuine coin, assuming it was struck.

Looks like a perfectly real Lichchavi "Pasupati" coin.
These are not rare and widely available on the market, so not much reason to make tourist copies of these.

 

COINcidence, my co-worker had asked me where Nepal was located... only 6 hours before I noticed and bought the coin from a random customer at my second job. $2 is worth the mystery alone
