You're welcome. I wanted to post my PanPac dollar and was surprised there was no thread. By Abe Lincoln commem, I'm assuming the IL centennial coin. And yeah, it was posted today ... maybe earlier too ... I'm losing track ... nothing new there. :)

I really like this one. It's as if the sun is setting behind the trees and the sunset is reflecting off the water. Someday I'll pull it back out and shoot it with a DSLR.

I like the eagle reverse. Wouldn’t mind seeing that on a newer coin. New coins stink. I would of liked if they kept the wheat cent reverse and mercury dime. Leave the president’s for paper money. But don’t touch Abe’s cent. Great looking coin

    I love that gold toning!

These are my 2 favorite gold toners

I really like the Pilgrim. Have always thought it a great design. Yours is a beautiful example. I don't have one yet ... have to do something about that soon.

I love getting to see some different designs on US coins. Commemoratives, have some that are super detailed and have used the entire coin to show the artwork, while others really missed the boat. I'm still working on a complete set and here is my latest.

Someone should start a thread showing just commemoratives with sailing ships or eagles as part of the design. There sure are a lot and some very unique.

Sometimes I think the True Views are much prettier than the actual coin and sometimes I think the actual coin is a bit prettier than the True View. This Washington/Carver falls in the second group: I think the actual coin is a tad better looking than the picture. Anyway, it's graded MS 66+ and is ex-Young. It is also CAC'ed.

For many years, this set didn't interest me (beyond Oregon), but recently I've found that many other pieces in the set are quite attractive (San Diego, Texas, Bay Bridge) and have slowly starting picking some of these up. Got a long way to go for the full silver set (4/50, ha!) but not in any rush to finish.

My all time favorite is the Oregon; here's my 1926 MS64:

I also own a white 1938-D Oregon MS65, but that's at PCGS offices getting a new holder and TrueView. (I know where to post that picture once it's ready :D)

Most recently, I've picked up the following two additions:
    50C 1935 obv.jpg
    50C 1935 rev.jpg
    50C 1935-S obv.jpg
    50C 1935-S rev.jpg

I've got my eye on a few others I'm hoping to add over the next few months, but there is certainly a limiting factor when it comes to some of the keys like Hawaii and Hudson.

I very much enjoyed looking through the previous 8 pages of this thread; collectively, there are some BEAUTIFUL examples of just about all the 'classic 50' and the classic gold pieces. The few quarter eagles in this set are forever on my wish list.
