I really like these but wouldn't they wear like crazy? We see how coins get worn down just from changing hands once in a while. I would think it would get very beat up and worn down after a few years. Unless you didn't wear it all the time.

It says he can custom make one. That's pretty cool.

You mean by wacking the edge of the coin with a spoon , my dad said they did that when sailing from island to island in the Pacific in WWII .

Yeah, something like that. I don't know exactly, but a spoon is used and tapping is required. Other than that, according the article I read a while back, they made it seem like it was easy to do with a little bit of skill.

 

Yeh, skill, thats the problem. I tried one of these a while back, Its started working, then the edges started to chip because they were getting too thin.
