    Scary isn't it?

We went up to $35 Saturday and $45 today.

Gonna let the boss know tomorrow (we do check ebay results at work). Bet we're over $50 tomorrow.

Problem is, who's gonna be buying these two years from now? They'll probably be less than issue.

I remember when I was a kid the 1975-S cents sold for a bunch of money, something like $17.50 each in Coinage and Coins magazine. A couple of years back my son bought one for $2.00 Go figure. Glad I never bought one when they were so high.

The same with this proof set. When the Depression hits, it will be worth face value.

Isn't the 2001 worth a lot? If the dealers were waiting to put these in inventory and most ended up in collectors hands they could be worth a lot in 2 years. I suspect that many collectors did not bother to pick these up this early (they are usually offered into the summer of the following year). The mint are doing some weird stuff lately.

    Guys,

What day is today? December 16th. When is Christmas? Hannukkah? Hmm? :)

Let's see if they bring $77 in January.

$77.00 is a silver proof set. not a clad proof set. see description.

The 75-S cents topped out at $25 each.

Looked at the auction. Title doesn't say silver, description doesn't say silver anywhere, and the picture is that of a clad set. I would assume it's a clad set.

I take that back I do see where he says it is a silver set in the description. But I would be very hesitant without it saying so in the title, and it would really worry me that the image is that of a clad set. Do you get what he says or what's in the picture?

It would be more remarkable if it were silver since the silver ones are still available from the mint.

That's odd. Description says silver, pictures say clad.

If you want a couple of satin finish coins form this set it is not hype. Some people include the satin finish coins in their collections.

Satin finish coins are in the mint sets, not the proof sets.

what was I thinking, I should say clad proof. I think a lot of people want clad and silver proof in their collections.
