 I have an old coin that i really know nothing about, my grandpa has it and one of his family members, a long time ago, found it in a hog trough in Wisconsin i believe, i'm just trying to figure out where it came from, it has a date of 1800 something, the last two digits are a little blurred out, it got bit by a hog i guess, i will try to send an attachment, it has a queen with a child on her lap and the word Incoronata with the date below it, the otherside has a man with a spear with horns on top of it, he has wings and some kind of animal is knealing in front of him, and the word Aspromonte below him...

That's not much to go on. Can you post a pic of the coin?

Is the coin silver? Gold? Copper? What is its approximate diamater and weight? Is the edge smooth or reeded? Does it indicate a denomination?

I am trying to post a pic, i'm a little slow in the computer world. There is no denomination on it, it's pretty light and doesn't really feel like a precious metal, the sides are ribbed not smooth. I have the pics on my email, i'm just not sure how to attach them here.....

Aspromonte is a mountain in southern Italy so it is more than likely a Italian medal of some kind :smile
