Was wondering why there are different price tags listed for items such as mint sets . when I googled the price of any mint set all sorts of prices and pics pop up for the same set. So what's the difference here when there the same sets? I really have no knowledge of coins...my boyfriend has LOTS of mint sets and gold dollar coins silver ones ...all kinds. It's just hard to find out what they r worth. Needing extra cash now days is the norm for us so we been needing 2 sale some.

Maybe people just want to sell for a different amount of cash? Welcome to CT!

Your best choice to find prices is to compare the sold listings on ebay and average them. Or take it to your local reputable coin dealer and see what he will buy them for.

Welcome to CT. When selling an item, you can ask anything for it. It's best to check the sold price to get a realistic idea of its value. If you're in a rush for funds just go to a local coin shop.

For general mint set and proof set purposes there is a section in the Red Book that lists the original cost from the mint and current value. It is not something you would use to buy and sell but it is a guide. Welcome to CT.
