Hi, Folks. I am doing some research on Mint error coins you personally submitted and still own that were rejected for encapsulation by grading companies - NOT something you just found online. I am not looking for labels indicating "Damage/Details" labels. I am looking for counterfeit/altered coins that got rejected. These are returned with a label indicating why the coin was rejected - this is what I need (I would also love the coin as well). Specifically, I need the labels that state the following (or something similar) from PCGS, NCG, ANACS, and ICG: 1. "Not Genuine" 2. "Altered/Damaged to Resemble Error" 3. "No Decision" Please post them and/or contact me directly via a message. Thanks! ~Joe C.
Those are the codes for rejections, on why coins weren't straight graded . You should tag fred weinburg, he does the error coins at Pcgs and should be able to answer any of your questions . .
Ah. Ok. I know the codes. I was looking for people who actually have those labels and possibly the coins as well
I always found it very difficult to get body bags from people. If their coins came back in bodybag with a label stating it had a problem they would quickly throw away the label and then either resubmit it elsewhere or just sell them raw and not disclose they had been rejected by the TPG. No one wanted to admit they had received back a bodybag.
