OK, Simple i picked this up today... Guess the given NGC grade....

To my knowledge there is no MS-## PF. Its either Mint State or it is a Proof.

 

It's obviously a trick question.

 

Back in the 50's (during my collecting "heyday"), a bunch of us kids would sit around a table in the cafeteria and rub mercury on dimes (how safe was that while eating lunch?)... the coins looked just like this one. So I'll grade it M-64 (mercury-64).

since it is an S mintmark, this can't be a trick question, since it is a Proof, not much debate there.

Unless the holder is mis-marked.

 

Well, the coin is obviously a proof since it is from San Francisco...and it has a cameo look. I'm going to assume that when you put MS-69PF...you really mean PF-69 and I'm going with that.

 

My anwser is PR-68 Utla Cam

I gave it a 68 because of the D in Dime, a possible mark on his nose (by the eye), possible mark on the bottom of the left plant thing, and the spot one the back of his head. There could be something on that C in America

Could be marks hiding in the shadows. Of course we've seen a few overgrades lately lol.

 

OK, this was a little drunk posting.... YES i meant Proof not MS.... also i forgot to include cameo in the grade.... but so far its intresting to h'ear the stories and the opinions on this piece... it is acctually a

I hate to say it but that's not an ultra cameo proof this is a ultra camep proof your coin iis a PF 69 with no cameo designation SORRY THAT'S WHAT THE PIC LOOKS LIKE

Well NGC Says 69-Ultra Cameo, thats all that matters...

 

Obviously your Pics are very poor it fooled me so you need a better camera or scan even by the slab that does'nt look Ultra cameo it looks just cameo look at my coin big difference that's ultra cameo need better scan or pics are you really sincere and you said you were drunk when you did this Opps

I'll say PR-68. That little spot behind the head on the obverse is a little too detracting for a 69 IMHO, if of course, it is on the coin. Nice. :thumb:
