Commerative coin oral roberts what is this?

    [​IMG] I received this commerative coin years ago .i really don't know what it is I did do research on the net , but couldn't find any thing about this thing I know it Has; something to do with Oral Roberts, if any body has any clue please tell me ,and what the value might be on this.

    These TV preacher types issued a lot of these during the bicentennial in 1976 and sold them through magazines like Readers Digest etc. I have one somewhere that a relative gave me, I think mine is Robert Schuller or something like that.

    Can't say what it is for sure Joe but we see stuff like this too often at the shop. Scottishmoney may be dead on with his angle.

    I don't mean to sound harsh but there are SO many different "token/medal/coins" that have been made for "special occasions" etc. that it's hard to tell if ANY of them have any real worth.

    Many come with "limited mintages" and "certificates of authenticity" to sell them. Only problem is how many people actually collect them?

    Now, there are some that are sought after and a true collector of such pieces knows it. However, most are basically junk and nothing more. Gut feeling is that Oral Roberts is probably not a highly sought after piece.
