    It’s a term for local auctions and small ones generally run by local dealers.

    Nice score! That's a great pictorial love token, done in high Victorian style from the peak of the fashion, circa 1880s-'90s. (The "Golden Age" of love tokens, one might say.)

    It's too bad the host coin details and date are not discernable, but the engraving is very nice.

    Here's one I had on a 2c piece, where the engraving was also very nice, though the lighthouse rather resembled a sea urchin or prickly pear cactus atop a candlestick.

    Lighthouses were a popular theme for love tokens. (So were storks, ships, and horseshoes, among other things.)
