I will take this into account. But I have another question. Why would anyone have to go through all of that? It's easy to just click a link and see the listing on ebay. No? What am I missing?

It’s just accepted forum etiquette really. But also many folks are afraid to click on links on a public forum. I won’t do it on my work computer.

Might be a "cool tidbit", but the Josh Tatum story is pure fiction, and it isn't where "Just Joshin you" came from. There have never been any contemporary records of a Josh Tatum being charged of tried for passing plated nickels, and no written acounts of the story before the 1950's. The phrase dates to the 1840's, well before the no cents nickel.

As for posting images from another website, (this holds true for a computer I don't know how you would do it on a smartphone) usually you can just right click an image, click on copy image address, then come to your post and past it in by putting [ img ]paste in the image address [ /img ] (remove the extra spaces in the brackets, they are there so you can see them)

Because one of the easiest ways to get your computer infected with a virus is to click on a posted link and have it take you to a malicious website. Often the person posting the link isn't trying to infect peoples computers, they just don't know the site is malicious. So many people just aren't willing to take the risk of clicking on links.

OK, gotcha. I didn't know. I prefer links but I guess I'm in the minority.
    Thanks.

Even if it's an ebay link?
I guess I'm not shy about it because ever since Windows 10 came out I have NEVER had a problem. No viruses, no trogens, no nothing. It's been amazing. Windows 10 is by far the best Windows ever. Not sure what took them so long to figure it out!

That being said, I will stick to the etiquette of posting

    I bought it :)
I looked at a bunch of these coins and saw MANY MS62 to MS65 much higher priced than this MS64. And I liked the eye appeal. The "scratch" is a die crack according ot the seller.

I think you will be much happier for that.

The problem is it is easy for a link to be spoofed, show one thing on the link, but take you someplace else

You still have an extra space after the opening brackets [
    Take those out

Microsoft Windows . . . now only 30 years behind the Mac!

    This response should be stickied.

First thing, price guides are out of date the moment they are printed. Also, they are Averages, not expected price of every example. Above average coins commonly sell for higher than book. This is balanced by all the crummy examples for the grade we see selling under book. Very common in ancients, where two ancients, both VF, in the same auction, will sell for very different amounts.

Second, it's a HOBBY, your enjoyment. Maybe this coin cost $15 more than another 64. So what. As long as you get the purchase price worth of enjoyment out of it, live your life man. That is my rule, I judge every coin based on how much enjoyment I get from it. As long as I am happy, that coin doesn't owe me anything and I don't care what others feel about it.

    Have fun. :)

I've had so many more bad experiences with Mac than with Windows. I never understood the "Mac cult".
Granted, I haven't used a Mac very much, but my father always had Macs. Lots of them, because they would fail so badly he just bought new ones!

Darn, I'm still not getting it. See my post right above. I tried four different scenarios of the spacing and all I get are these weird red "X"'s, whatever those mean.

It appears to me that the coin in question has already been sold. Oh well...

It also makes the thread more readable in the future. The ebay link could be dead in a couple of months.

Nice coin. I have never heard a bad word about David Kahn Rare coins. Their prices seem to be a bit higher than the trends, but they also seem to have coins with stronger eye appeal than most.

Good point. I didn't think of that. Thanks.
It seems like every dealer's prices are high these days!

Individuals time spent and for me especially, download time. I'm Hughes Net satellite and they shut my download speed off when I reach their limit, which I pay for the upper most, so every time I have to click on a link or open a new window, it costs me.
